Social Networking is not rocket science. People are predisposed to socially network for their own advancement and integration into society. Its not just a youth thing, its a people thing. In both your personal and business life, stronger people interaction adds more value.
Backnetwork is an online social networking tool designed specifically for events. It is a service which helps members and attendees interact, providing an online meeting place and connecting like minded people who share interests and passions within that industry-sector.
Backnetwork works on three levels:- It is an area where you can network as a Club Member. All Network Members receive a username and password to access the Backnetwork site we built for the Club. You then create a profile, link your profile page to those of friends and acquaintances who are also Club Members and can start to engage in discussions before, during and after meetings
- It is an area for members to pull together their content in the form of profiles, blogs, articles and photos
- It is an information-gathering resource for Club meetings and the people that are attending.
Business Social Networking
Central to Backnetwork are the user profiles which allow individuals to create bi-directional relationship links. From these links the system maps the network relationships of any individual.
Within Backnetwork you can search for other users by Degrees of Separation or shortest relationship paths. This type of search is based on the Six degrees of separation hypothesis, that anyone on Earth can be connected to any other person on the planet through a chain of acquaintances with no more than five intermediaries
A Relationship Cloud on each members profile page demonstrates who they know, and the nature of their relationship. This is an effective tool for creating networking opportunities via a mutual acquaintance and helps members meet contacts they have always wanted to get to know.
Content and Information Gathering
Backnetwork brings an end to members having to search hundreds of individual websites and blogs to gather information about speakers and fellow attendees at a meeting. Instead, Backnetwork centralises all this information in one place by hunting the Internet for blog and website entries on the Club and posting them on the site.
Case Study
Backnetwork was launched at the leading UK Web Design, Development and Technology event d.construct. We worked on the basis that if anyone was going to find fault with the service, some of the most heavy weight technologists in the UK would leap at the chance.
We were pleased to say they didnt and it proved a great success.Key stats:- On average d.construct members increased their social network by 35%
